Telemark Level Two

This five day course focuses towards teaching intermediate telemark skiing. It comprises the New Zealand telemark progression, techniques for teaching and communication skills. Telemark skier analysis, an introduction to high performance turns, bumps and off piste as well as demonstration criteria through intermediate turns with pole plants edged, carving turns and off piste skills. You will gain a full understanding and application of situational skiing.

Pre-requisites: You must be an associate member or full member NZSIA and hold a Telemark Level One Telemark Certification or equivalent international qualification.

Assessment Process

Assessment is on-going during the course where we are looking for consistency and development in your telemarking, with a teaching exam on the final day with real students. The Level Two Certification has a large focus on personal skill development as well as the teaching progression and techniques.
