Felix is a New Zealander who was raised on the green rolling farmland of the North Island. Riding horses, fixing fences, shearing sheep and ploughing the land behind the wheel of a red tractor were days spent. He is a skier, a farmer and a keen adventurer who enjoys remote cups of tea in the backcountry.
The iced and wind buffed slopes of Mt Ruapehu which Felix began skiing on weren’t enough to put him off and he always wanted to spend a season in the mountains as a ski instructor, following in his father’s and uncle’s footsteps. In 2012 this season eventuated in the Canterbury high country at a small ski area called Porters. Having quickly become completely captivated by the industry he subsequently spent many of the best snowy and some not so snowy winters ski instructing with good friends in both hemispheres. He remains still enthralled by the excitement of the sport and the snow sports industry.
Currently he works as an examiner for the NZSIA and is also a member of the NZSIA Technical Team. Additionally he works as an instructor and trainer at Cardrona + Treble Cone Ski Resorts, NZ.
When winter snow gives in to summer sun he morphs into a questionable but eager triathlete chasing the swim / bike / run dream.
