Ryan hails from beautiful Newcastle, Australia (or “Gods country” as they like to call it). Fresh out of high school Ryan decided he wasn’t actually very good at school and there were mistakes to be made elsewhere, so off he went. Since then he’s been lucky enough to teach/coach all over the world including NZ, Japan, Georgia, Canada, a brief stint back home, and the good old US of A. In the last few seasons he’s been getting stoked on getting into the coaching aspects of freeride skiing, although you’ll rarely find him competing himself (too scary no thanks). When he’s on the mountain you may find him falling off one in another failed paraglide launch, or playing sad boy songs on guitar in his room, or surfing back home with friends and family.
