Josh first skied at 3 and snowboarded at 12, but his Journey to enlightenment began in 2007 when he undertook Snow Trainers’ 11 week programme and achieved his Level One and Two.
After that, he spent one season instructing at Copper Mt, Colorado, and then another few years completing a Bachelor of Music degree and playing in several, miserably unsuccessful bands around Sydney. Then in 2013, he decided it was time to get back to the mountains, where he began his back-to-back winter lifestyle, and has since worked in Australia, Canada, New Zealand and Japan.
In 2017, Josh passed the SBINZ Trainer’s exam and was also selected on the Technical Team. These days he spends his northern hemi winters in Colorado, USA, where he is an instructor and trainer with Aspen Snowmass and an examining staff member for AASI-RM.
When he’s not on the hill riding, you’ll most likely catch him on a disc golf course hucking plastic.
