Works at Treble Cone for Rookie Academy
Daniel started skiing at the age of 11 on a school ski trip. He loved it so much he convinced his family that it was a sport they should all do. Since then its been all downhill. (Skiing Downhill) . Both Daniel and his brother carried on to become NZSIA examiners and eventually trained there parents to become instructors through the Rookie Academy at Treble Cone.
Once Daniel completed his degree he set off skiing in Japan, Canada the united states and more recently China. Daniel will always call Wanaka home and rates Treble Cone as one of his favorite mountains to ski and train on. Daniel still works for the Rookie academy and is an active examiner.
Having two small children means he doesn’t get to ski in the Northern Hemisphere as much as he would like but he loves the fact that 3 generations of Bogues get to ski together in NZ all because of a School ski trip.
Daniel traveled to Bulgaria as part of the NZSIA Interski team and has been elected to President of the Board of the NZSIA.
