About NZSIA Telemark & Cross Country

Telemark has contributed to the NZSIA in a variety of different ways, including sending representatives to every Interski event from 1995 through to Argentina in 2015.

The Cross Country Ski discipline was added under Telemark in 2021, with the reintroduction of a Cross Country Ski certification system.

The uniquely Kiwi teaching progressions constructed in the early years still stand internationally today as one of the most adaptable methods for learning the sport. Techniques have been adapted and changed, along with the equipment, maintaining simplicity and not getting tied up with too much technical jargon.
